由於郭婞淳當時有臍繞頸，讓郭媽媽很擔心，正巧當時負責開導的社工就是李麗秋，李麗秋早在22年前就與在醫院待了3天的郭婞淳有一面之緣。李麗秋說：「我不曉得這樣因緣延續到22年，這份愛又傳到澎湖去（指捐救護車）。」

李麗秋說，一直在等待郭婞淳的比賽，昨清晨得知她拿下銅牌，當下是很興奮，但看到郭婞淳欣喜中卻又掉淚，也讓她看了很難過，很想與她說說話，也想抱抱她。

在里約奧運舉重女子58公斤級奪下銅牌的郭婞淳，22年前在宜蘭的羅東聖母醫院出生，而曾是「聖母寶寶」的郭婞淳，去年6月透過教練林敬能與醫院聯絡，要捐贈一輛救護車給醫院，郭婞淳這次奪牌，院方也感到興奮與喜悅。

李麗秋透露，郭婞淳向她提及曾是「聖母寶寶」時，相當訝異，一度以為是台東聖母醫院，原來22年前，郭婞淳因為母親在宜蘭工作，因此在羅東聖母醫院生產，出生時郭婞淳體重是2700公克，比一般女嬰略輕。
